«Tests for the Feature Film – Uninvited Story». 2006. DV, 12 min. (UNDP Programme - Gender and Politics in the South Caucasus)
Five years ago authoress read 13th century Japan woman writer Nojio’s «Uninvited Story». It is not a diary in today’s meaning. Though the narrative is chronological, but it is evident that the work is created in the end of the author’s life as recollection of experience. She decided to make photo and video illustrations with conditional name «Tests for the Feature Film – Uninvited Story». In this video Nijio is a present-day woman of European appearance. In fact it is Nijios transformed portrait revealed in each woman by herself and the tests for the feature film which may be shot according to any woman’s life. If we cancel the stereotype, that a woman is… If we cancel the any stereotype created by us, we will receive a woman’s world with its diversity, perfection. |

Sophia Cherkezishvili «One minute without the crime» 2005. DV, 02 min. 31 sec. (Mama Cash for Women) The video is created on the basis of documentary material shoot in the women colony. The mix of video art aesthetics and reportage genre is added by private truthful histories of women prisoners and author’s narrative thoughts. The ticking of the clock accentuates the eternal flow of time. And the women prisoners get a one minute chance to live in an artistic space without feeling of guilty. Author tries with final categorical statement – ‘all these women have committed a crime, but none of them is guilty’ - feministic energy, as force expressing transformation and cultural resistance. |

Thea Telia. «He likes». 2005. DV, 02 min. 22 sec (Mama Cash for Women) A women coquetry is shoot in and exaggerated, colorful esthetic foreshortening with ironical final shot, when a woman turns into a trinket on a man’s belt. Ironical analysis of a woman’s perfect body cult that should be «appreciated», when ideological-colorful provocation takes place and afterwards comprehension with video image nature. These are visual assumptions of search of identity |

Sophia Cherkezishvili. «The most beautiful dress». 2005. DV, 01 min. 17 sec (Mama Cash for Women)
The video art is about the woman telling the story of her dress. She is hanging between the earth and sky. She is wearing the white dress that symbolizes her shield protecting her body from this environment. The white dress is the history which is the one and unique for everyone. This white dress was on her grandmother and later on her mother and probably her daughter if she will have one will wear it too.

Sophia Cherkezishvili “Protect Me”. Cameramen Goglika Khaindrava – 2004. Video art photo images of six old women change one another (1 min.). Sounds of the waves and mystic voices of sea-gull are background noise. On the background of the old women’s images the artist’s voice addresses the outer world – Protect me. At a single glance banal and sweet text turns into extremely emotional phraseology – the old women’s eyes put a question: - Who will protect me? This is the protest of an unprotected man.

our world deserves bread and butter. It ends by manifest statement “Earn

and is translated as “I would like to have bread and butter earned by my
